8th Grade

Students were given a lesson on Synesthesia. A neurological condition where a person affected has the ability to see Music in shapes and colors or to smell textures. Students were then given the challenge to select music of their choice that creates emotion. They would listen to the music on repeat while working in only black and white gesso. Using gestural movements to convey the emotion. On following days I met with each student to guess what their emotion was and give them a corresponding color to enhance their painting.
